How do I...
- Apply for a fellowship? See graduate award recipients?
- Go on leave?
- Establish state residency?
- Change insurance benefits?
- Reserve a conference room?
- Get an internship if I am an international student?
- Make travel arrangements?
Interning as an International Student
As an international student, seeking a U.S. internship can depend on many factors, including the time of year and your specific needs. Therefore, please see Lindsay for individual counselling on how to proceed. For general information, refer to the UW International Student Services page on Curricular Practical Training.
Making Travel Arrangements
If you are traveling to a professional meeting, conference, or workshop at the expense of your research advisor, please be sure to check with that faculty member's administrator first.
The University of Washington requires very specific procedures and approvals for professional travel. Please consult Travel Approvals for details.
To expedite reimbursement for travel expenses, you are strongly recommended to apply for a UW Corporate Visa Card, or "travel card". Go to the department's travel information page for recommendations and access to the application.
