CSE NetID Accounts for New Students
What is a CSE NetID?
Similar to your UW NetID, your CSE NetID grants you access to Allen School-specific technology platforms and services; from workstations in Allen School computing labs, Cloud platforms (CSE Google Workspace and Microsoft 365) to local Linux servers and CSE GitLab. It will also be used to create and route your CSE email address:[your csenetid]@cs.washington.edu
Your CSE NetID will be matched to your UW NetID and cannot be changed except to match a changed/updated UW NetID.
When will I receive my CSE NetID?
If you have not yet received an email to activate your CSE NetID Account, check with your program’s advising team for more information.
Please NOTE: You will receive an email with next steps for activating your CSE NetID. Once activated, it can take up to 12 hours for your newly created account to gain all related permissions.
Logging into MyCSE (after CSE NetID setup)
If you’ve already activated your CSE NetID, use the MyCSE portal to access various resources related to your account. Remember, it can take up to 12 hours for your newly activated account to access all services and display the correct information.
